Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Pain Registered Nurse to join our Pain Center in Oklahoma City. This role is crucial in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education during pre-operative and recovery phases.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in pain management and have experience in a fast-paced clinical environment, with an active RN license in Oklahoma and relevant certifications. Flexible scheduling is offered, supporting a collaborative team approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in PACU, Phase II, or pain management strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures in accordance with hospital policies.
• Administer and monitor pain management interventions.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medications, including actions, side effects, and expected outcomes.
• Assess patients and ensure admission criteria are met.
• Provide clear education to patients and families regarding procedures and expectations.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using ACLS/PALS protocols.
• Maintain supplies, medication safety, and equipment readiness.

Proficient in pain management and post-anesthesia recovery care

Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced clinical setting

Education

Active Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
