United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (USPI) is seeking a Pain Management RN PRN to provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.

The role involves peri-operative preparation, medication administration, safe practice implementation, and collaboration with physicians, anesthesia, and staff. Requires active RN license, PACU/ICU experience, and current BLS/ALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in PACU or ICU.
• Current BLS and ALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for surgery or procedures and provides peri-operative and post-operative instructions.
• Interprets physician orders, reviews lab values and imaging, documents medical histories and allergies.
• Administers prescribed medications per orders and monitors for side effects.
• Performs safe patient positioning and upholds aseptic technique; adheres to EDGE policies and center procedures.
• Assess patient status peri-operatively and communicate changes to physicians and anesthesia.
• Document care, positioning, equipment safety measures and supplies used.
