Job summary

TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is hiring a PRN PACU Registered Nurse to join our care-focused team. The PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.

In this PRN role you will assist physicians in procedure rooms, perform assessments, and help plan discharge while coordinating care with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
• Assisting physicians as needed with tasks in the procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate.
