Job summary

Vidor Health & Rehab is seeking a compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will plan and administer OT treatments to residents, work under an OT, and provide support to patients and families to improve independence and quality of life.

Candidates should hold a Texas OTA license and COTA credential, have good standing with regulatory boards, and bring knowledge of OT practices.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
