Job summary

Independence Rehab Inc at Splendido at Rancho Vistoso in Oro Valley, AZ is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide geriatric SNF and Transitional Care services with clinical autonomy and a flexible schedule.

As part of the team, you'll perform functional ADL retraining, transfer training, fall prevention, management of complex patients, discharge planning, and supervising a COTA when needed, collaborating with nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, and facility staff.

Qualifications

• Current State OT license in good standing.
• Degree from an accredited OT program.
• Organized, self-starter who enjoys the geriatric population.
• Ability to supervise a COTA.
• SNF experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Functional ADL retraining and adaptive strategies.
• Transfer training (all levels).
• Fall prevention and safety training.
• Treatment of clinically complex patients.
• Discharge planning and care coordination.
• Supervision of a COTA (as needed).
• Collaboration with nursing, PT, ST, and facility staff.
