Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Orthopedic Technologist to provide technical support to physicians, PAs, and NPs in standard orthopedic care. The role includes preparing rooms and patients for examinations and procedures, and assisting with applying and removing orthopedic devices under supervision.

The position requires NBOTC/ROT or equivalent certification, BLS, and a high school diploma with orthopedic tech training. PRN hours offer flexible scheduling in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an Orthopaedic Technician training and certification program required.
  • NBOTC or ASOP ROT certification required; BLS required. If not certified at hire, certification must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to physicians, PAs, and NPs in standard orthopedic care.
  • Assist in preparing rooms and patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures.
  • Apply and remove common orthopedic devices and appliances, assist in routine procedures.
  • Work under supervision of licensed practitioners and adapt to changing tasks.
