Job summary

Baptist Health Urgent Care OrthoNow is seeking an Orthopedic Technologist to provide technical support in delivering orthopedic care. This role includes preparing rooms and patients for exams, applying and removing devices, and assisting with procedures.

All work is supervised by a physician or licensed practitioner. Required qualifications include an Orthopaedic Technician training and certification, NBOTC or ASOP certification, BLS, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an Orthopaedic Technician training and certification program required.
• NBOTC or ASOP certification required; BLS required.
• Minimum of one year experience in an Orthopaedic clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in orthopedic care.
• Assist in preparing rooms and patients for examinations and procedures.
• Apply and remove common orthopedic devices and appliances; assist in routine procedures.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed physician or practitioner.
