Job summary

The CORE Institute is seeking a PRN DME/Orthopedic Technician to join our musculoskeletal care team in Phoenix. You will apply and adjust fiberglass casts, assist with orthopedic traction, and educate patients on cast care and DME usage.

This role supports inventory, orders, and daily clinic operations, working with the Rapid Auth Team to discuss patient financial responsibility and ensuring stock is organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Sports Medicine/Orthopedic Technician training or Medical Assistant program, or at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Applies and adjusts fiberglass casts and attaches orthopedic traction equipment as directed by physician.
• Educates patients on cast care and proper usage of DME items.
• Keeps log sheets and inventory records, and places orders based on par level.
• Works with Rapid Auth Team to determine patient financial responsibility and communicates it to the patient.
• Provides coverage at CORE clinic locations and trains new staff.
• Performs non-clinical tasks as assigned and completes CPS/Spotfire entries.
