Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a regular PRN role in the OR. You will scrub and circulate for surgical procedures, provide nursing care, monitor patient status, and help prepare the OR and instruments before and after operations.

The ideal candidate holds RN licensure, ADN or BSN, and BLS; ACLS is required within six months. Internal applicants need 1 year, external applicants 2 years of related clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS within six months of hire.
• Internal applicants: one year of related clinical experience.
• External applicants: two years of related clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting for surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions: select and handle instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions: monitor, document, and communicate patient condition.
• Prepare OR, instruments, and equipment for use.
