Job summary

Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Main OR Team. This PRN position offers flexibility while contributing to critical surgical care.

As an OR RN, you will provide care for patients undergoing medical or surgical treatments, educate families, and collaborate with physicians and hospital staff.

Requirements include 2-3 years OR circulating experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS; AS in Nursing and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide care to patients undergoing medical or surgical treatment.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital departments.
• Coordinate care with ancillary services.
• Advocate for patients and participate in unit activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition.
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.
