Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team at Baptist Medical Center-Clay in Fleming Island. This is a PRN role with a call requirement and a 40-minute call response time, and a self-scheduling pattern based on department needs.

As an OR RN, you will work closely with physicians and operating room teams, handling patient care from check-in to transfer to PACU, serving as circulating nurse and primary advocate during intra-operative care.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Conscious Sedation Certification
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Preferred Or
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred Or
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Responsibilities

• Providing for patient needs as recognized through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement organization.
• Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
• Including patients and significant other (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case.
• This position requires call.
