Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Registered Nurse (PRN) to assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. You will document care and educate families to promote recovery.

Required are an Associate’s in Nursing and RN licensure with at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience. BLS is required; some units prefer ABLS/CNOR/NRP. Day shift with on-site duties in a supportive facility.

Qualifications

• Proficient in EMR charting and computer literacy.
• English proficiency required.
• Keyboarding and computer skills standard for charting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and needs to develop care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Document care activities and medical records accurately.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Advocate for patient safety and infection prevention.
• Engage with healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Maintain sterile environment and follow safety procedures.
• Perform IVs, wound care, and specimen collection.
