Musculoskeletal Ambulatory Surgery Center, Thornton, CO, seeks an Operating Room Nurse PRN to provide circulating or scrub support, ensuring safe, efficient nursing care as patients transition to recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
• Active RN license is required by state of employment or compact licensure.
• BCLS certification required upon employment; online not acceptable.
• ACLS as required by facility; CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for OR and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and OR tables.
• Manage patient care and medication, including anesthesia assistance.
• Review charts for completeness per documentation protocols.
