Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) on a PRN schedule. The OTA will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and document progress in the EMR.

This role includes mentoring students and new staff, supporting safety and compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement in patient care. Requirements include an Associate degree and OTA licensure, with Basic Life Support and NBCOT preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Basic understanding of occupational therapy principles and practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans and document progress in EMR.
• Educate patients and families; provide home exercise instructions.
• Mentor students and new staff; participate in staff development.
• Support infection control, safety, and compliance with policies.
