Job summary

Restorative Solutions is seeking a part-time on-site Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support licensed OTs in the Tampa Bay area. The OTA will assist with treatment implementation, patient care, and progress documentation across the lifespan in clinic and community settings.

You will prepare treatment areas, maintain equipment, and communicate exercises to patients and caregivers while adhering to safety and ethical standards. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Florida license as COTA/L or equivalent.

Restorative Solutions is an outpatient Occupational Therapy clinic based in Palm Harbor, serving clients from childhood through older adulthood. The clinic provides individualized OT services both in‑office and in community settings, supporting functional independence and quality of life. Restorative Solutions is expanding its service offerings by adding Speech Therapy, creating a more comprehensive rehabilitation environment. Team members collaborate across disciplines to deliver patient‑centered care and evidence‑informed interventions.

Role Description

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) is a part‑time, on‑site role located in the Tampa Bay area (Upper Tampa Bay and the Tampa/ Brandon area). The OTA will support licensed Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans, providing direct patient care, and documenting progress for individuals across the lifespan. Daily responsibilities include assisting with therapeutic activities, facilitating functional skills training, and helping patients with activities of daily living in both clinic and community‑based settings. The role involves preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, communicating with patients and caregivers about exercises and strategies, and contributing input to program development to enhance clinic services. The OTA will collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, follow established clinical protocols, and uphold safety and ethical standards in all patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation to support treatment implementation and functional outcomes.
• Demonstrated skills in Patient Care, including compassion, clear communication, and attention to safety and comfort.
• Experience or interest in Program Development to assist with creating and refining therapeutic activities and clinic services.
• Ability to support Home Care needs, including carryover of therapeutic strategies to home and community environments.
• Active state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) in Florida.
• Prior experience in outpatient or community‑based therapy settings is preferred, but not required.
• Effective written and electronic documentation skills, with familiarity using EMR systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team, manage time efficiently, and adapt to varied patient populations.
