Village Place Health and Rehabilitation Center in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapy Assistant for PRN coverage. The ideal candidate will join a supportive rehab team led by an experienced Director of Rehabilitation and work at a single facility with no daily travel.

Responsibilities include resident screenings, data contribution to OT staff, and providing therapy per plan of care. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must be computer/tech savvy.
• Level 2 background screening per Florida HB 531 (2025).

Responsabilités

• Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Occupational Therapist.
• Contributes objective data to Occupational Therapists as allowed by scope of practice.
• Provide Occupational Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care.
• Actively engage and contribute to the rehab department, IDT and facility success.

Our facility offers a supportive family environment with a compassionate rehab team which is led by an experienced Director of Rehabilitation. Rehabilitation techs are utilized to assist therapists with resident transport and administrative functions. The rehab department utilizes Net Health-Therapy and Point Click Care for billing and documentation to assist therapists with daily efficiency where quality care remains the primary focus of each therapist. The facility has a 6-day a week, in-house comprehensive rehabilitation program where the OTA/COTA is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. JOB SUMMARY

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
