Ahava Therapy Services is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehabilitation team at Wexford House, a 173-bed skilled nursing facility offering short- and long-term rehabilitation.

Join a collaborative therapy team and deliver high-quality OT services to help residents regain function while preventing decline. The role requires an OTA program graduate, license eligibility, CPR/BLS, and strong communication within a team.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
• Active OTA license or eligibility.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong observational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Aufgaben

• Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents according to the occupational therapist's treatment plans.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
• Observe, record, and report conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
• Maintain daily treatment records and document progress notes as directed.
• Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment.
• Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned.
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to the discipline and responsibilities.
• Act in compliance with Ahava Therapy Services’ regulatory and professional standards.
• Attend and participate in rehabilitation team conferences and other facility meetings.
• Adhere to company and facility policies and participate in quality improvement and safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources efficiently.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third‑party reimbursement guidelines.
• Support the company’s mission and vision and project a professional image.
• Independently perform duties and recognize situations where direct supervision is needed.
• Maintain expected productivity levels.
