Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove Care Center is currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team of talented caregivers.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for direct resident care by administering the therapy outlined in the plan of care to assist the resident to develop or regain functioning to perform activities of daily living.
2. Administration of occupational therapy treatments to residents as outlined by the physician’s orders and the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist.
3. Reports information related to the Occupational Therapist regarding the resident’s progress, complications and/or response to treatment.
4. Assist the Occupational Therapist in performing procedures, tests and complex treatments to ensure the safe and effective evaluation and treatment of residents.
5. Maintains confidentiality of all patient, facility and physician-related information.
6. Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with procedures on a daily basis.
7. Attends and participates in interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate to relay clinical findings and recommendations to other members of the rehab team.
8. Attends and participates in family meetings as appropriate.
9. Adheres to documentation requirements of the Rehabilitation Department and the facility.
10. Expected to meet productivity standards as established by the Director of Therapy.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Occupational Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in good standing.
