Job summary

Maryland Gardens Post Acute in seeks a PRN Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients within 24 hours of referral, following physician treatment plans and collaborating with health care teams. The role includes supervising a COTA and aides, participating in conferences, and supporting discharge planning and caregiver training.

The OT will document progress in medical records, coordinate equipment needs, and ensure licensure compliance while engaging families and staff for continuity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• State licensure as an OT required.
• Experience supervising COTA, aides and students preferred.
• Proficient in documentation and medical record review.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of referral and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise COTA and aides in direct patient care and activities.
• Coordinate discharge planning and caregiver training for home care.
• Participate in care conferences and inservices as needed.
• Maintain required documentation and progress notes per policy and board rules.
