Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy is required.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program is required.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist upon hire is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire is required.

Responsabilités

• Evaluates patient using evidence based evaluation techniques.
• Plans individualized occupational therapy program with sensorimotor, educational, recreational and social activities based on the patient’s capacity and goals.
• Provides instructions in therapeutic procedures to be continued by the patient.
• Coordinates occupational therapy activities with the interdisciplinary team to achieve goals.
• Conducts or participates in training medical and nursing personnel in occupational therapy techniques and objectives.
• Utilizes safe patient handling techniques for all transfers, lifts and positioning.
• Provides supervision of COTAs and Rehab Aides as required by PA practice act.
