Job summary

Saint Peters Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OTR) to treat patients with therapeutic and self-care activities aimed at improving function. This role requires maintaining NBCOT certification and a valid state license.

You will document weekly progress, participate in care meetings to coordinate plans, and help train families and caregivers. The on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients using therapeutic and self-care activities to improve function.
• Monitor patients' activities to ensure correct performance and offer encouragement.
• Contribute to meetings and case conferences to coordinate care plans.
• Document weekly progress in appropriate records.
• Maintain the office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory.
• Instruct patients, families and caregivers in treatment skills and techniques.
• Maintain NBCOT certification and state license where applicable.

Occupational Therapist (OTR)

Responsibilities

• Treat patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function
• Monitor a patient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement
• Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients
• Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records
• Maintain the office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory
• Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the patient's treatment program
• Maintain valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and a valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable).
