Job summary

Emerald Care Center Southwest in Oklahoma City seeks a PRN Occupational Therapist to assess and treat residents, planning individualized therapy to improve daily living and independence. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting, providing flexible, as-needed therapy services.

Responsibilities include evaluations, creating plans, one-on-one sessions, documenting progress, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, PTs, and speech therapists to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
• Therapy Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Intervention: Provide one-on-one therapy sessions addressing motor, cognitive, and daily living skills.
• Rehabilitation & Recovery: Use therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment to enhance skills and independence.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaboration: Work with physicians, nurses, PTs, speech therapists, and others to coordinate care.
• Education & Training: Educate residents, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques.
• Program Development: Help refine therapy programs and protocols.
• Compliance: Adhere to policies and regulations.
