Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life after illness or injury. You will work with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to evaluate needs, plan individualized care, and provide hands-on therapy across the recovery process.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Virginia.
• Minimum 1 year OT experience; acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for clinical management of the patient.
• Assures satisfaction of customers (patients, visitors, physicians and staff), upholding ICARE values.
• Participates in and understands Quality Management activities.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills.
• Demonstrates understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Documents care utilizing the appropriate tools.

Your role will include

• 1. Responsible for clinical management of the patient.

• Promotes cost effective unit operations.
• Documents care utilizing the appropriate tools.

• Complies with professional, regulatory, governmental and departmental standards.

What qualifications you will need

• EDUCATION: Graduate of an AOTA accredited School of Occupational Therapy
• BLS – required at time of hire
• LICENSURE: Licensed in the State of Virginia
• EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in an acute care facility preferred; 1 year OT experience required
