Job summary

AdventHealth Littleton is seeking an experienced ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with physician orders and department protocols. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate documentation in EMR/PACS, infection control, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure timely, precise imaging for patient care in a busy radiology department.

You will educate patients, manage equipment, and maintain regulatory licenses with ongoing education

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent exams.
• Strong patient care and communication across ages.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Ability to learn Radiology software and PACS.
• Maintain continuing education and licenses to perform imaging.
• Team-oriented, flexible, reliable, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness with clinical history.
• Position patients and transducers to obtain optimal images and data.
• Document findings accurately in EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Maintain infection control, PPE, and equipment safety.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers for continuity of care.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and equipment clean and safe.
