Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for 20 Beds (Level 2) L&D, Postpartum & Newborn Nursery. The RN provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating care with physicians and the health-care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires 1-2 years of current OB experience as an RN and involves PRN shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) in a high-acuity obstetric setting with newborn care responsibilities.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• 1-2 years of current OB experience as an RN
• Proficient in nursing process and patient assessment

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and unit protocols.
• Documents findings accurately and reports changes to the care team.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects per standards of practice.
• Assists physicians during OB procedures within competency and scope.
• Collaborates with the care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
