Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty for PRN roles with travel to Colorado Springs areas to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs. Pay is $60/hr for day clinicals, $70/hr for night clinicals, and $50/hr for labs.

Candidates should have a BSN (MSN preferred) and an active multi-state RN license, with minimum OB nursing experience and the ability to assess and document student progress.

Qualifications

• MSN preferred; BSN required. BSNs must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately upon hire, paid for by GCU.
• Specify graduate credits or national certification on your resume.
• Minimum of 2 years' recent work experience in OB nursing with an MSN.
• An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing.
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach knowledge and skills for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty for evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
• Remain current with trends in nursing practice and maintain accreditation requirements.
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance.
