Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for PRN daytime shifts. You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, position patients, and ensure safety and infection control in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Required ARRT RT(R) registration and CPR/BLS, with 1+ year radiology experience or a new graduate from an accredited program. This role supports multiple units and requires teamwork and strong patient communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year radiology experience or new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program.
• Post-certification experience preferred for evaluating/instructing student radiographers.
• Knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.
• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete procedures safely.
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
