Job summary

St. Thomas More Hospital in Fremont County, Colorado seeks a Registered Nurse to collaborate with the healthcare team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients, advancing nursing through compassionate care.

You will promote patient safety and well-being through the nursing process, adhere to care standards and the State Nurse Practice Act, and provide relationship-based care in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, or by endorsement.
• RN License in state of employment.
• Physical requirements: Medium work, lift up to 50 lbs. occasional, 20 lbs. frequent, 10 lbs. constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and evaluate responses to interventions.
• Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain patient charts and records; document status and outcomes accurately; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote, advocate for health and safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provide patient/family education by assessing learning readiness and effectiveness of teaching.
