St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, Colorado, seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to collaborate with the healthcare team to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients while advancing nursing excellence.

You will promote patient safety through the nursing process, adhere to standards and the State Nurse Practice Act, and deliver relationship-based care in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Nursing Diploma or endorsement accepted.
• RN License in state of employment.
• Physical requirements: medium work; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and intervene to optimize outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and monitor outcomes with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound/incision care, medications, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote and advocate for patient health and safety and rights.
• Provide patient/family education based on learning readiness and needs.
