Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a PRN night shift in Rome, GA. You will document procedures, participate in patient flow, and respond to Code Blue events with CPR per AHA guidelines.

The role includes ventilator management, ABG analysis, and arterial blood gas reporting. The position requires an Associate degree and RRT credential, with NBRC requirements and 1+ year of critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; NBRC credential maintained.
• 1+ year of critical care experience preferred.
• NBRC credential required for new hires and incumbents.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in assisting with patient flow.
• Responds to Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Operates and maintains ventilators and airway equipment per protocol.
• Obtains, analyzes and reports arterial blood gases and co-oximetry; performs quality controls as needed.
• Performs airway maintenance and related respiratory therapies as directed.
