Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift PRN 13-week assignment in Georgia. The role entails critical care patient management, education for patients and staff, and close collaboration with the medical team.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, aerosolized therapy, and arterial blood gas analysis, with scheduling oriented per unit needs. Minimum 1 year experience preferred; travel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Sciences program; a B.S. degree is required.
• Licenses/certifications include BLS, ACLS, RRT, NRP, PALS, and Respiratory Care Practitioner credentials.
• Minimum 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred; travel experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient care, documentation, and education.
• Collaborate with health care team to plan patient care.
• Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy.
• Ventilator management, weaning, and airway management.
• Educate patients and mentor new staff; participate in education of students.
