Job summary

Givens Estates in Asheville, NC is hiring a PRN LPN or RN Charge Nurse to join our Assisted Living health care team. The hours are 7pm to 7am with weekend shift availability required.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning care, administering medications, responding to emergencies, coordinating routines, and orienting new staff while ensuring timely communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Registered RN license in NC required or LPN with eligibility may be considered
• Two years in long-term care or geriatric population preferred
• Must possess public relation skills and be capable of working without direct supervision
• Maintain confidentiality of information in compliance with HIPAA

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care plans
• Administer drugs and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by medical staff
• Respond to emergency calls in the community
• Coordinate unit routines and orient new staff; provide guidance to staff
• Communicate pertinent information regarding residents in a timely and accurate manner
