Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking a PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with NICU expertise in Dubuque, Iowa. The NNP will work under the pediatrician and participate in high-risk deliveries, newborn care, and transport stabilization.

Required include an accredited NNP program, unrestricted Iowa license, and active certification (BLS/ACLS/PALS, NRP) with NICU experience of at least two years. PRN shifts offer flexible scheduling and comprehensive coverage.”

Qualifications

• Accredited neonatal NNP program completed.
• Unrestricted Iowa license to practice.
• NICU experience of at least two years.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal care under the attending pediatrician.
• Assess, plan, and document patient care and outcomes.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as appropriate.
• Care for newborns including resuscitation and stabilization.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and assist with circumcisions.
