Trinity Health is seeking a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center in Dubuque, IA, to provide neonatal assessment, treatment, and care under pediatric supervision.

Responsibilities include high-risk deliveries, newborn resuscitation, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff to ensure optimal outcomes. Competitive shift-based compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Accredited/Nurse Practitioner program completed.
• Unrestricted Iowa state license in good standing.
• NICU experience of 2+ years.
• Ability to work independently with shift coverage as sole NNP per shift.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate neonatal medical care under the attending pediatrician.
• Document accurately in problem-oriented format and communicate with team.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as appropriate.
• Provide orders for meds, IV therapy, nutrition, and admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Attend high-risk deliveries, resuscitation, and transport stabilization when needed.
• Contribute to staff education and quality improvement initiatives.
