Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking a part-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our NICU team in Dubuque, Iowa. The role focuses on perinatal and neonatal health with responsibilities in assessment, resuscitation, and stabilization of newborns.

The NNP will provide care under pediatricians, attend deliveries, and support newborn care and education within a Level II NICU setting. PRN scheduling offers flexibility with 24-hour shift coverage when needed.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited NNP program.
• Unrestricted Iowa license.
• 2+ years NICU experience.
• Ability to work independently; one NNP scheduled per shift.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
• Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat neonates under pediatricians.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and resuscitations.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging as appropriate.
• Provide newborn care and stabilization for transfers.
• Contribute to policy development and staff education.
