Job summary

Akumin Operating Corp. is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to produce high quality diagnostic MRI images and perform contrast administration under physician supervision across multiple sites.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state license if applicable, CPR/BLS, and ACLS where required; it emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and proficiency with Akumin’s EMR, PACS and DICOM systems. This per-diem position offers flexible shifts and may require travel between locations to cover

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowed by contract.
• State license required, if applicable.
• CPR and BLS (AHA/ARC); ACLS where applicable.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for patient safety and pre-screening.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images per protocols and standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Demonstrate competency in contrast safety and administration, including IVs and vascular access.
• Proficiency with Akumin’s EMR, PACS and DICOM systems.
• Train and orient new technologists and staff on site or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
