Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform cross-sectional imaging and contrast administration in support of diagnostic procedures. You will work with licensed practitioners to ensure high-quality results while maintaining patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification (or contract-allowed alternative), state licensure if required, and CPR/BLS. Travel to multiple sites may be needed with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification acceptable per contract.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR/BLS from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality MR images per imaging protocols and ARRT/ARMRIT standards.
• Independently perform or assist MRI procedures per licensed practitioner's request.
• Prepare, administer and document contrast administration per policy.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and staff; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Train and orient new technologists and interns as needed.
• Remain flexible for per-diem coverage and travel between locations.
