Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist for a temporary/PRN position. You will operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images and support patient care with a focus on safety and quality. The role emphasizes patient-centred service and adherence to radiology standards.

Required education includes an AMA-approved radiography program, ARRT/ARMRIT registration where applicable, and CPR certification. Prior independent MRI experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients before exam and verify identity to ensure correct patient and procedure.
• Explain MRI procedures and position patients for proper imaging.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follow physician orders and maintain accurate RIS records.
• Keep the work area clean and equipment disinfected for safety.
• Maintain MRI equipment and comply with accreditation requirements.
• Assist with imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
