Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams and ensure high-quality imaging in collaboration with radiologists and clinicians. The candidate should hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT (or ARRT R) certification, BLS, and IV competency within 30 days of hire; 1–2 years of MRI experience and a bachelor’s degree are preferred.

This PRN position requires coverage as needed, with typically 10-hour shifts and strong patient-care

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT or ARRT R cross-trained in MRI
• BLS certification for healthcare providers
• IV competency within 30 days of hire
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality competency in all clinical and technical functions
• Ensures proper patient identification and prepares the patient for the exam
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care
• Instructs students and other MRI Technologists in protocols and positioning
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures
