Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams across Utah Valley Hospital and Utah Valley Outpatient Center. You will work with radiologists and clinicians, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ARRT MR or equivalent, BLS, and IV competency within 30 days of hire. PRN shifts include varied start times and weekend coverage; compensation includes an hourly wage with benefits awareness.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT or ARRT(R) cross-trained in MRI.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ARRT modality competency.
• Ensures proper patient identification and prepares the patient for exam.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews image quality.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within time limits without compromising care or quality.
• Instructs students and other MRI Techs in protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort and addressing concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charges, consents, QC, and equipment issues.
