Qualifications

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies orders with Radiologist before performing exams.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and explains procedures.
• Interviews patients and reviews EMR for pertinent history.
• Assists in MRI procedures and patient care.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocol.
• Operates MRI equipment and ensures image quality and safety.
• Maintains overall department cleanliness and safety standards.
