Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registered and Advanced Registry in MRI required.
  • BCLS Certification required.
  • MRI experience preferred.
  • BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic MRI exams.
  • Operates equipment to perform procedures and devise action plans.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality.
  • Assists Radiologist with specialized procedures.
  • Ensures ACR Guidelines for accreditation.
  • Maintains records and performs daily QA for equipment.
  • Participates in cross‑training initiatives.
  • Follows company policies in regard to attendance and service.
  • Follows policies on attendance, appearance and service.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information and upholds office reputation.

Job description

The MRI Technologist performs procedures to help in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient. Produces images for the interpretation by or at the request of the Radiologist while exercising professional judgement in performance of services.

Available Hours: 4-9pm

Location: Element Medical Imaging: Overland Park, Leawood, and Lee's Summit.

Summary of Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registered.
  • Advanced Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging required
  • MRI Experience Preferred
  • BCLS Certification Required

Position Responsibilities
  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic MRI exams
  • Operates imaging equipment to successfully perform procedures, and devise a plan of action that considers patient condition and diagnosis
  • Performs clinical assessment and evaluates images for technical quality
  • Assists Radiologist with specialized procedures. Consults with interpreting Radiologist on any abnormalities or artifacts.
  • Ensures ACR Guidelines for accreditation
  • Correlates patient’s accurate clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by Radiologist.
  • Maintains records and performs daily QA for equipment as assigned
  • Actively participates in interdepartmental cross‑training initiatives
  • Follows established company policies in regard to attendance, appearance and service
  • Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient information in accordance to company policy
  • Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner

PHYSICAL RESOURCES

Position patients and equipment to produce appropriate scans.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Indoor, climate‑controlled environment.

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED: Medical Equipment, personal computer, printer, multi‑line phone, fax machine and copier.
