Prime Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist at St Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, and obtain high-quality images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) certification, current BCLS, graduation from a JRCERT-approved program, and at least 2 years of MRI experience. Per diem shifts are available with a day schedule.

Qualifications

• ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) certification required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate on hire and active.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program or MRI course.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for MRI, explain procedure, address concerns, screen contraindications.
• Operate MRI scanners, acquire high‑resolution images, position patients and choose imaging parameters.
• Adhere to safety protocols to protect patients and staff from magnetic fields.
• Monitor vital signs during scans and adjust parameters; perform multiple sequences as needed.
• intravenously administer contrast when needed and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment.

Location: St Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO

We are seeking an MRI Technologist, sometimes referred to as an MRI Tech. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and structures. They play critical role in the diagnostic process by producing high-quality images that help physicians diagnose and treat various medical conditions. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Responsibilities

**To perform duties in this position you must be MRI certified and certified in one other modality.

• Prepare patients for their MRI scans by explaining the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortable, you will also screen patients for contraindications to MRI, such as the presence of metal implants or pacemakers
• Operate MRI scanners to acquire high-resolution images of the body, position patients correctly on the scanning table and select appropriate imaging parameters to produce clear and accurate images
• Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect both patients and you from potential hazards associated with MRI technology, such as strong magnetic fields
• During the MRI scan, monitor patients' vital signs and adjust imaging parameters as needed to obtain the desired images, you may perform multiple imaging sequences to capture different anatomical views or enhance specific tissue contrasts
• Administer contrast agents intravenously to enhance the visibility of certain tissues or abnormalities during the scan, monitor patients for any adverse reactions to the contrast agent and provide appropriate care if needed
• Perform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality

Qualifications

• ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) certification
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and remain current
• Must be a graduate of a JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI course
• Proficient computer skills
• At least 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
