Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a MRI Technologist PRN to join our imaging team. The role involves performing routine and specialized MRI studies and presenting images to the radiologist for diagnostic reports.

Candidates should have ARRT registration, MR credentialing within 6 months, and BCLS within 30 days. Ideally 2–3 years MRI experience; hospital setting experience preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program (certificate or degree).
• ARRT registered; MR preferred or eligible within 1 year and registry completed within 6 months.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2–3 years MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized MRI of organs and systems.
• Present images and patient history to Radiologist for reports.
• Position patients and ensure comfort during procedures.
• Start IVs for contrast when necessary.
• Maintain aseptic technique and clean/sterilize equipment between patients.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.
