Position Overview

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially in a mobile environment. Trains and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Patient Safety, including pre-screening and aseptic techniques, with remote oversight when required.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images, possibly operating multiple MR systems.
• Use all communication channels effectively to address concerns, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train and orient new staff on site and remotely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification as permissible by contract
• State license, if applicable
• CPR Certification
• Valid driver’s license, if applicable
• 3 months supervised MRI clinical experience or enrollment in an MRI training program for technologists registered in other modalities
• No experience required for MR registered technologists (RT(MR) or ARMRIT)
• Ability to work at multiple locations
• Strong customer service and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required
• Local travel may be necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent
• ARRT MRI Registry
• One year MRI experience

Physical Requirements

Exposure to weather, magnetic fields, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases. Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movements, and lifting.
