Job description

*Hiring for PRN openings across multiple sites*

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. You ensure effective communication with Radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially in mobile environments. When required, you train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators, and/or MR Technologist Assistants.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and possibly remote MR Technologist Assistant oversight.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images. Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to address concerns, solve problems, and manage conflicts.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• For technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
• MR registered technologists (RT(MR)) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
• One year of MRI experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Exposure to outside weather conditions when transporting patients on mobile units.
• Exposure to strong magnetic fields.
• Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.

More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movements; communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel, climb, lift, and transfer patients.
