Job summary

Envision Radiology is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our Utah team. You will perform MRI procedures, ensure patient safety, and coordinate with radiologists to acquire high-quality images.

Shifts are available between Bountiful and Draper locations, Monday–Friday 8AM–5PM. Must have ARRT MR/ARMRIT and CPR credentials with 2+ years MRI experience; enrollments in state licensure applicable.

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ MRI experience, preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, problem solver, team player.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures per protocol and patient needs.
• Prepare patients, review charts, and check for implants/contraindications.
• Obtain prior films and produce high quality scans for interpretation.
• Coordinate protocols with Radiologist and transfer images as needed.
• Maintain equipment and report any deficiencies promptly.

Envision Imaging is looking for a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team in Utah!

PRN (As-Needed) | Position Pay Range: $38.16 - $47.36

Shifts available between both Bountiful & Draper locations; open Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Summary/Objective

Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Essential Functions:

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
