Job summary

St. David's Georgetown Hospital seeks a Medical Technologist to join our PRN team. You will perform moderate and high complexity testing, analyze results, and ensure specimen integrity in a busy acute care lab.

Qualifications

• 2 years of generalist and blood bank experience in an acute care setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field; clinical rotation or internship or acceptable equivalent enabling registry eligibility.
• MT registry eligibility: ASCP/NCA/AMT (or passing score within 1 year of hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing and report test results and quality control results.
• Receive specimens, print labels, and enter/verify patient data without errors.
• Operate and troubleshoot test systems.
• Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting.
• Ensure age-appropriate test selection and timely lab results.
• Perform quality control and participate in proficiency testing.

Military training equivalent (to eligibility for registry)
