Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Medical Assistant or CMA to support physicians with patient care and clinic operations. The role includes appointment scheduling, chart management, data entry and processing routine tests. A customer-service mindset and ability to work under pressure are essential.

CLIA-waived moderate testing may be performed. Qualifications include high school graduation, current BLS, valid driver’s license, and phlebotomy experience; CMA course is preferred

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school program or higher.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CMA course preferred, not required.
• Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
• Schedule appointments including care and chart management.
• Provide information to patients to utilize clinic services.
• Collect, process routine testing, and return results to doctor.
• Obtain, process doctor’s orders, and data entry.
• Provide good customer service on the phone, to patients, doctors and staff.
• Perform CLIA waived moderate testing.
