Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. You will order, collect, process routine and specialty testing, obtain and enter orders, and provide patient-friendly service to doctors, staff and patients.

Responsibilities include obtaining correct blood samples with proper patient identification, transporting samples to the laboratory, performing CLIA-waived tests, maintaining quality control, and mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current BLS certification
• Valid driver's license
• Phlebotomy course and phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in collecting correct blood samples and labeling
• Follows hospital policy for transporting and delivering samples
• Knowledge of handling laboratory supplies and stocking
• Ensure competent care and high customer service expectations
• Adhere to policy, mentor new staff, and maintain professional relationships
• Organize requisitions, scan orders, and report lab results
